ARA Almelo

Destination ARA Almelo has a total area of approximately 46,870 sq.m., including warehouse, mezzanine and office space. The destination with eye-catching architecture is located on the A35 motorway and is located right next to the entrance to XL Businesspark Twente. ARA Almelo will not only be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, but also with a striking ecological nature screen over 14 meters high and almost 1 kilometer long, making a high contribution to biodiversity in the area. ARA Almelo will be realized in a nature-inclusive way. This is reflected in the ecological nature screen as well as in the inner world of this destination. At the entrance to high-end finished offices, nature runs throughout from outside to inside. The offices therefore feature natural materials and colors, planting and ample light. In the design and choice of materials and techniques, the aim was to achieve the lowest possible carbon footprint. ARA Almelo will therefore receive the BREEAM-NL 'Very Good' certificate. Upon completion, the destination is already prepared for the logistics of the future. In fact, ARA Almelo will be equipped with a Last-Mile network called Capella. An innovative light and data transport system that is integrated into the light lines by means of Polymer Optical Fiber. This system is easy to activate and adapt, for example to enable WiFi, cameras, bluetooth location determination or the use of drones. Also, lighting can always be adjusted to the desired lux value. Capella is an initiative of Stellar Development.
